Post by Earon just wondering if anyone new what the hit rating cap was Post by Aedalas Copied from the Warrior FAQ by Arideni For two-handed weapons & one-hand/shields the miss rate is 5% against an equal level opponent (79 hit rating). For dual wielding, the total. Hit is not a bad stat in TBC. Especially if you go fury with a prot sub spec instead of fury with an arms sub spec. (Not having impale improves the value of hit relative to crit.) TBC Sim's pre-raid set has a butt load of hit. And fury/prot sims essentially the same as fury/arms using their default setup Re: Fury Warrior +hit cap. 13 or 14% without talents is plenty. Most you should even talent is 1 and spend the other two in weapon mastery. A fury warrior's main goal with hit is to make it so your specials don't miss, which is 9%. You should be going for AP/crit and then armor penetration Gearing Advice for Warrior DPS in Burning Crusade Gearing as a Warrior DPS is pretty straightforward. The most important goal to achieve is gaining your soft hit cap (if duel wielding) of 9%. After that you'll focus on Strength, Crit, and eventually Armor Penetration as well to increase your overall damage
Hit cap for Arms Warrior (or any two hand user) is 142 hit raiting. As I wrote I got more DPS with crit gems when I had 100+ hit from gear. But thats in almost BiS gear. As for exp rait Im not sure what is cap, but you will get enough from gear alone when you hit SWP progress. For now I would use MGT trinket (when it gets relesed on this server) When dual wielding, the hard cap for Hit is 27%. Most Fury warriors get the soft cap - 8%, which guarantees to hit with abilities. The reason is that getting 27% would sacrifice so much valuable stats and result in damage loss. Expertise soft-cap is 26, which removes the chance of your attacks to be dodged & parried
Whirlwind: Playing a Warrior in TBC. 21/40/ - 2h Fury (less common spec, but relatively viable for PvE dps as a second or third dps warrior) The other hypothesis is that Expertise is impossible to cap completely and functions similarly to the spell hit cap, where there will always be a small percent chance that the boss will dodge. Report post. Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) Hit rating is TBC. Vanilla is Hit %. When your guild is entering raid, 3 hit is good. should cover 500 DPS from your raid. Free classic.wowhead.com. To put it in simplest terms, your Auto Attacks can not Crit more often than the opportunity for a Miss or a Dodge. For a Level 60 Warrior: 29.8% Crit Chance = Crit Cap of Auto Attacks with 0% Hit Rating, from behind the Boss; 37.8% Crit Chance = Crit Cap of Auto Attacks with 9% Hit Rating, from behind the Boss Hit Rating. The slightly more comprehensive answer to how much hit rating you want as a DPS warrior is 263 at level 80. This will equate to 8% chance to hit with special attacks, and assumes you. They use the TBC formula, which basically translates into a 9% hit cap. If you are below 305 weapon skill each point gives 0.4% hit each and then at 305 weapon skill the hit formula changes, resulting in a 6% miss chance and each subsequent skill point after the 305 threshold reduces the chance to miss by 0.1% each You get 3 points to spend on imp HS or whatever you may want. Talk with the warlocks in your raid guild. It is common to set up talents to have 3 different ranks of Healthstones at one point in the raid (one warlock with 0/2, one with 1/2 and one with 2/2) White crit cap: 100% - 27% miss - 8% dodge - 40% glance + your hit% Yellow crit cap: 100% - 8% miss - 8% dodge + your hit% My question is how much do you fury's worry about being under the white crit cap? I want to be able to advise my fury warriors on gear balancing but I have never played a dps roll before
Hit rating is a value that represents the increased reduction of the chance to miss with your attack (see below ). Patch 4.0.1 decreased the required rating per 1% slightly. The chance to hit now increases by 1% per 30.7548 hit rating points at level 80, 14.7905 hit rating points at level 70, and 9.3793 hit rating points at level 60 Build Shop: Warrior 17/44. Комментарий от 18017 This isn't terribly good for a fury warrior as stacking hit past the cap for specials is a poor choice. However, especially with the somewhat lacking hit on Season 3 though (with full S3 including weapon, assuming you don't have Tsunami Talisman or Madness of the Betrayer, you'll be at 77 hit rating, with the cap being 79), this is a great item to get that 2. The most important Weapon Stat to look for, as a Fury Warrior, is the Weapon's DPS. Weapon Skill - Increases your chance to Hit, decreases enemy's chance to Block, Dodge, and Parry, and counteracts Glancing Blow Penalty. You should aim to get 308 Weapon Skill (if you pick Orc/Human, all you'll need is 3 additional points) Our MT is a deep prot warrior with a TF and does not wbuff at all. this is the DPS for just hemo not the white damage this was using 0 points in lethality and No +Hit Using the formula i worked out that so long as you had more than 700 Attack Power GM Fist was better by about 0.33 DPS This is because this weapon is only 2.6 speed where as the GM Fist is 2.9 speed. A much better alternative for Hemo rogues would b The overall rotation consists of Steady Shot, Aimed Shot, Arcane Shot, Multi-Shot, and a LOT of auto shots. Aimed Shot will be the most effective tool in PVP if allowed to get off since it comes with 50% reduced healing debuff and can hit very hard. Unfortunately it's hard to get off as it's a 2.5 second cast Hit itself will also never be pushed off the attack table as long as your crit chance plus the chance to be dodged and parried is less than 100%; ie you could never amass enough crit chance that it would eliminate hit from the combat table. For any warrior past the hit cap on specials, arms or fury, this gem is always the wrong choice to socket.
For an enemy of the same level as you, 3% Spell Hit is needed to cap. For an enemy 1 level higher than you, 4% Spell Hit is needed to cap. For an enemy 2 levels higher than you, 5% Spell Hit is needed to cap. For an enemy 3 levels higher than you, which is the case of raid bosses, 16% Spell Hit is needed to cap It can be nice, but I would still prefer Chestplate of A'dal as a Fury warrior. +hit is pretty much premium until you reach pass the +200 hit mark. Heroics/Kara 170-200 hit SSC onwards 200-250 hit I would combine doomplate shoulders and gauntlets for +35 hit, as all other slots can be nicer for fury, when considering +hit 3 months into TBC and this trinket is still one of the best one out there. This is a pretty common drop for my guild. Usually drops about 1/4 of the time. Kicks butt on my fury warrior. I think rogues and fury warriors should get this before an MS warrior does. A fury warriors wet dream now that the +hit cap is being removed, omg #Protection Warrior PvE Stat Priority The below Stat Priority recommendations are designed to optimize tanking effectiveness for most character setups. While the most accurate stat priority comes from simulating your own character with proper settings, you can still use this stat priority to simplify decisions on gear choices and consumables
DMH is BiS for every FC in every bracket in TBC. The scaling isn't until Wrath IIRC. So no Charged Gear farming for FCs (or most people since not having DMH seems insane). Fury can also hit their cooldown (Recklessness+Rampage to Enrage) and Bladestorm, but with the much shorter duration and damage of Bladestorm, they often don't end up bursting as hard if there are more than 5 targets (Fury still can do good burst AOE, just not as strong/frequent as Arms) Gnome - Expansive mind gives you 105 rage cap instead of 100, and you get a native 1% extra haste. Most Alliance have never heard of this trinket, simply because they can't get it. It is a reward from the elite quests in the Hinterlands. Why it is green is beyond me, but any fury warrior or arms warrior that has yet to cap their +hit should equip this baby until they farm the Emperor for the Hand of Justice or DKP an epic slot item. It's not. To achieve this you will probably have to get the Victory items instead of the Triumph items. You can also substitute PvE gear or hit gems to reach the cap if you have to. For Fury you need 5% hit subtract precision (1/2/3%) according to how many points you put into it. So if you have 3 points in precision, you only need 2% hit Classic TBC.
